project oforme - object design studio founded by architects Alexandra Batyreva and Nikolay Batyrev in Saint Petersburg. We explore material and form, turning the process of searching into an independent statement. We create objects at the intersection of design and art: unconventional forms, altered and reimagined object types. We value tactility - where the material is revealed through plasticity and unexpected combinations of textures. Ordinary things become autonomous “characters” in a space. The studio grew out of work with ceramics and craft-based techniques, evolving into more complex objects - lighting and interior pieces. We see our further development in creating large-scale objects and installations that unite the entire space into a single concept.
