The candle holder is made of sheet steel. At the center of the composition, a black candle is suspended on thin metal needles fixed to the wall. It appears to float like a metaphor for independent thought, existing within the space of ideas yet constrained by invisible laws. Wax drips freely onto the lower part of the altar, emphasizing the beauty of imperfection, the vitality of process, and traces of experimentation. In this way, the materials and forms enter into a dialogue with the fleeting nature of time. A measuring scale - an architectural ruler - is placed beneath the candle, proportioned according to the golden ratio (1.618…). Contained within the boundaries of the object, it becomes a symbol of the search for ideal form, while the flame introduces a contrasting sense of emotion. The juxtaposition of precise measurement and a fragile flame expresses the balance between calculation and intuition. The Architect’s Altar is a contemporary interpretation of a contemplative space. The object becomes a site for personal ritual - a pause for reflection on light and shadow, materiality, and the inevitable energy of imperfection.
